The Pirate Workout!

It's time to step out of yer office and hop onto this here boat for a swoshbuckling adventure! In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day it's all hands on deck here at FT, yo ho! This here workout is meant to bust yer booty like a cannon, and I'm not referrin' to no stolin' treasure. Whether yer a young buccaneer or an old seadog...as long as yer not three sheets to the wind, this is fer you! Avast ye---if thar be any scallywags hornswaggling it's straight to Davey Jone's Locker! So fill yer black jack with water and wipe yer brow with a jolly roger, let's go! Arrrrr....

The FT Brecksville Pirate Workout
-Complete this circuit of 1-9 exercises, in order, for 10-20 reps each.
-Rest for up to 2 minutes at the end of the circuit.
-Repeat up to 3 times.

3.) X Marks the Spot
4.) The Cutlass
5.) Heave Ho
6.) Peg Leg Lunges

LEARN YER LINGO:
  • Ahoy, matey=Hello, friend
  • Swoshbuckler=Swordsman
  • All hands=Everyone get on the deck
  • Yo Ho=There is often used to express some sort of cheer but also can be used to call attention to the speaker.
  • Booty=Treasure
  • Buccaneer=Name for a pirate
  • Seadog=An old sailor or pirate
  • Three sheets to the wind=Someone who is quite drunk
  • Avast ye=Pay attention
  • Scallywag=an insult
  • Hornswaggle=To cheat
  • Davy Jones' Locker=Refers to Death at the Bottom of the Sea
  • Black jack=Large drinking cups
  • Jolly Roger=The infamous pirate flag with a skull and crossbones on it
  • Black Jack=Large Drinking Cups
  • X Marks the Spot=Referring to where a treasure is buried
  • Cutlass=Type of sword used by the pirates
  • Heave ho=Instruction to put some strength into whatever one is doing
  • Walk the plank=A punishment which entails someone who walks over the side of the ship off of the plank. Their hands are often tied so that they cannot swim and they drowned.

  1. These days its everyone motive to get a perfect body shape. Health is really important for every person, so keeping this fact in my mind I watch and follow best workout videos. This way I am losing my excess fat too.
